Race Ten : (587) - JIANGUOMEN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 AMAZING VICTORY (G123) H Bowman Over the final 150 Metres was held up for clear running between ORIENTAL SMOKE and BEAUTY FIT, both of which shifted ground slightly and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 2 GOLDEN ARTIE (G434) B Thompson After the race, B Thompson reported that he was instructed to take up a forward position.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 ENTERPRISE ATTACK (H340) K Teetan A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 KARMA (G392) C Y Ho From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay out under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight.
After the race, the horse was noted to have blood at its mouth.

Horse No 5 LEEDOX (J154) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with ORIENTAL SMOKE.
Horse No 6 HELENE WARRIOR (J207) Y L Chung Bounded at the start and lost ground and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from AMAZING VICTORY.
Horse No 7 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) L Ferraris Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind HELENE WARRIOR and for some distance thereafter raced tight to the inside of HELENE WARRIOR when improving inside that runner.
Approaching the finishing line could not be ridden out when it improved close to MY FLYING ANGEL.

Horse No 9 YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a wound to the left hind leg.
Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 AEROINVINCIBLE (J180) A Atzeni After the race, A Atzeni reported that his mount, which is only lightly raced, travelled keenly during the running of the event and as a result finished the race off only fairly.

Horse No SINBA (H091) Z Purton Withdrawn on 12.4.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter LEEDOX.
Before being allowed to race again, SINBA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Beauty Fit got up in deep stretch after a box-seat run for a fourth win and first from 15 starts after seven minor placings this term. Golden Artie stayed on nicely to finish a close second after a prominent run from a tricky gate. He continues to finish in the mix in five of six starts after a win. Oriental Smoke kept finding for third after a speed-tracking run. It was a better effort at this level with a move to a 10-pound claimer. My Flying Angel grudgingly gave way after dictating the lead for the most part. The change in tactics nearly paid off. Foolish Heart ran on nicely for fifth after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. It was a pleasing effort on return to Class Three after two minor placings in a lower grade. Aeroinvincible kept on one paced when asked for an effort travelling worse than midfield. He has not been up to the challenge in his past two starts at this level. Helene Warrior got going late without threatening after making his run five back on the fence following a tardy start. He has shown flashes of ability in both local runs.
