Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (681) - THE MEMBERS CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 STUNNING PEACH (J301) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 FIND MY LOVE (H110) E C W Wong After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that the intention was to find cover, but after commencing well and being caught wide in the early stages, he was obliged to allow his mount to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground.
Horse No 4 SIMPLE HEDGE (H237) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Near the 900 Metres became unbalanced and lost ground when crowded by PERFECT PAIRING which hung in and away from CHING despite the efforts of its rider A Hamelin.
After the race, B Avdulla reported that his mount was under pressure throughout the event and although crowded for room near the 900 Metres failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 FUN TOGETHER (H041) C L Chau From the 400 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 8 VOYAGE SAMURAI (J026) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 HELENE WARRIOR (J207) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly and then was steadied to avoid FUN TOGETHER which shifted out.
Near the 300 Metres was shifted out to obtain clear running and bumped POWERFUL WINGS.
Horse No 11 ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467) B Thompson Stumbled on jumping.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 12 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 13 POWERFUL WINGS (G225) A Badel Bumped after the 300 Metres.
Horse No 14 AEROINVINCIBLE (J180) A Atzeni Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.
For a short distance near the 150 Metres A Atzeni's whip was caught in his reins when he pulled it through to his right hand.
Horse No MASTER OF FORTUNE (G474) C Y Ho Withdrawn on 17.5.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ROCKET SPADE.
Before being allowed to race again, MASTER OF FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Firming favourite Voyage Samurai won with something in hand after a well-judged ride in front wearing cheek pieces for a third win and two seconds from as many starts. He has a bright future. Stunning Peach ran on well to grab second 150m out after a wide with cover run from midfield. It was a better effort at his second local start. Well-backed Aeroinvincible ran on nicely to just miss second after getting held up for a run until the 200m travelling one off from just worse than midfield. He was suited by a step up in trip. Helene Warrior made headway late for fourth after biding his time three from the rear. He has made a good impression in each of his four local starts. Specked late Fun Together held his ground after a handy run. He has not disgraced but does appear from recent runs to be on his mark. Rocket Spade ran on without threatening after making his run from behind midfield on the fence. He is better suited over a longer trip. Powerful Wings stayed on all right after a wide without cover trip from beyond midfield. Second favourite Ching made headway late from towards the rear but never looked likely figuring in the finish.
