Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (507) - CHINESE HIBISCUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 THUNDER PRINCE (K017) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between ALLURING LAOS and HONEST WITNESS, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 3 ALLURING LAOS (J478) E C W Wong Approaching the 150 Metres became held up behind CHEVAL VALIANT and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 4 SUMMIT CHEERS (E221) B Avdulla On jumping was bumped by NOBLE DELUXE which shifted in.
After the event, B Avdulla stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily during the early and middle stages but when asked for an effort near the 250 Metres did not respond to his riding and gave ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 GLACIATED (K272) J Orman Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded by SUMMIT CHEERS which was taken in by NOBLE DELUXE.
Approaching the 150 Metres was momentarily steadied to avoid SPICY KNUCKLES which shifted out slightly.
Passing the 100 Metres raced tight between SPICY KNUCKLES and ALLURING LAOS which shifted in.
Horse No 6 GO GENERAL (H330) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
After the event, K De Melo reported that his mount, which was having its first race start, raced greenly throughout the event and hung out before giving ground over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The racing manners of GO GENERAL were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, GO GENERAL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial.
Horse No 7 HONEST WITNESS (K283) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 SUPER STRONG KID (K180) M Chadwick Noted to have bled from the left nostril after the race.
An endoscopic examination was conducted on SUPER STRONG KID which confirmed the horse to be a bleeder.
Before being allowed to race again, SUPER STRONG KID will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SAVVY TWINKLE (K067) A Badel Approaching the finish was checked when crowded between CHEVAL VALIANT (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted out and NOBLE DELUXE (B Thompson) which shifted in.
Both Apprentice Wong and B Thompson were reprimanded and advised that they must stop riding and straighten sooner than they did on this occasion.
Horse No 11 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) B Thompson Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Near the 750 Metres was eased when crowded between SUPER GOLDI and SUMMIT CHEERS which was taken out slightly by SAVVY TWINKLE.
Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Meres was held up behind SUPER GOLDI.
For some distance approaching the 200 Metres was held up behind SAVVY TWINKLE.
Horse No 12 BINGO BABE (K115) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.

Favourite Super Strong Kid responded nicely through the centre of the track from behind midfield to win going away. He lived up to an eye-catching debut second behind the smart Justifying. Outsider Bingo Babe ran on well from midfield for second. It was his best effort from six runs at his second consecutive start over the straight 1,000m following a move to a hood and crossed nose band. Noble Deluxe surged late for third after travelling behind midfield on the grandstand side. It was his best run from four starts. Newcomer Honest Witness kept plugging away to just hold fourth after chasing the speed in the centre of the track. It was an encouraging debut performance. Cheval Valiant was on his tippy toes 50m out after dictating the run from gate nine. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. Thunder Prince made some ground from behind midfield near the far side. It was a positive effort down in grade trying the straight 1,000m for the first time.
