Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (510) - HYDRANGEA HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 FUN TOGETHER (H041) P N Wong Near the 900 Metres was taken wider when HANDSOME BOMB was shifted out after crossing RUN RAN RUN.
Horse No 2 EXCEL WONGCHOY (J194) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount did not handle the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, EXCEL WONGCHOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 3 GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541) D McDonogh Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 5 RUN RAN RUN (J108) K C Leung After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount dipped near the 600 Metres and failed to travel thereafter.
He added in the Home Straight RUN RAN RUN responded only fairly to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 WIN SPEED (J205) L Ferraris In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from RUN RAN RUN.
Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 8 EVERYONE'S CLASSIC (J407) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride.
Horse No 9 MONARCH COUNTY (J421) H Bowman Near the 200 Metres lay in, resulting in its rider H Bowman having to correct his mount.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 VIEW ALL THINGS (K101) M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly.
In the early stages raced keenly.
Horse No 12 PANDA (H466) B Thompson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 13 PATCH OF LUCKY (J349) R Kingscote Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
After the event, R Kingscote stated that his mount failed to handle the "Good to Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 14 PEARL OF PANG'S (J447) M F Poon Near the 200 Metres was steadied to avoid MONARCH COUNTY.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.

After circling the field to sit sixth and wide on the track coming to the final bend, Monarch County took control 180m out for a first win at his fifth start. Pearl Of Pang's ran on well through the middle to just grab second from favourite Good Luck Babe after a prominent run wide without cover from gate 14. It was his best run from eight starts. Good Luck Babe made it close for second after a box-seat run from gate one. He's building towards a win with placings in back-to-back runs. The well-backed Handsome Bomb gradually faded to finish fourth after clearing to lead from gate 12. It was his best effort from six starts this season with a return to his preferred 1,400m trip. View All Things ran on well for fifth from behind midfield. He's still a work in progress. Dragon Sunrise got going late with two wider out to finish next best after travelling fourth last and three wide with cover. He's found the line better in his past two of four starts.
