Recap by phillip woo
Sunlight Power drew clear after hitting the lead 150m out following a rails run from midfield to notch a sixth win from 22 starts and third from eight outings this term. He's a smart horse on his day. Voyage Samurai kept on gamely for second after enjoying an uncontested lead from gate eight. He was able to build on a front-running fourth following a gear change last start. Awesome Fluke stayed on well for third after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a good run off a break, but he does perform well fresh. Tourbillon Prince just held on for fourth without threatening the top three after tracking the leader from gate six. It was a better effort on his past few starts. Karma came from near last and widest out at the top of the straight for fifth. He might not have been suited by the muddling pace in front. The Golden Scenery made some ground without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield. Punted late, Ramadan only beat a couple ridden for luck from gate seven. He's still acclimatising.
