Race Five : (605) - MA TAU KOK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 CHILL KAKA (J486) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 PRECISION GOAL (H016) L Ferraris After the event L Ferraris reported that his mount lost its tongue tie during the middle stages.
The Veterinary Officer reported subsequent to the race that the horse returned without its tongue tie.
Horse No 3 FASHION LEGEND (J080) A Atzeni When caught wide in the early stages raced keenly when being steadied near the 1200 Metres to obtain cover behind LUCKY BANNER.
Horse No 4 FOREVER FOLKS (G463) B Thompson Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between GALLANT CROWN and PHANTOM CYCLONE, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 5 VULCANUS (J150) K Teetan In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier in the early stages.
Horse No 6 ALL ARE MINE (H293) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of LUCKY BANNER as it continued into clear running.
After improving to the inside of RUN RUN TIMING near the 100 Metres then became held up behind PRECISION GOAL and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 8 RUN RUN TIMING (H403) H Bentley A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 VIVA CHALEUR (G368) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 500 Metres was hampered when taken wider by CHILL KAKA which shifted out to improve.
VIVA CHALEUR was then obliged to race very wide and without cover thereafter.
Horse No 11 SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 PHANTOM CYCLONE (J271) Y L Chung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 13 LUCKY IMPACT (J337) M Chadwick In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid GALLANT CROWN.
Approaching the 800 Metres improved to the inside of GALLANT CROWN when that runner shifted out slightly.
Near the 750 Metres was then steadied when crowded by GALLANT CROWN (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted back in.
Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded.
Lay out under pressure in the Home Straight and near the 200 Metres M Chadwick was obliged to change his whip through to his left hand.

Favourite Chill Kaka travelled one off with cover in midfield from gate 10 and got up 150m out for back-to-back wins following a step up to 1,650m on this surface from six starts. Spangle Fortune kept on well for second after leading 200m out following a speed-tracking run. It was a much better effort on his past few starts. Hammered late in betting, Forever Folks ran on nicely for third after a rails run from behind midfield. He's always a chance on this surface. Lucky Impact ran on strongly near the outside to just miss third prize money from near the rear after copping a check 800m out. It was clearly his best effort from eight starts. Fashion Legend kept on one-paced after a handy run. It was an OK run carrying eight pounds more following a win. Viva Chaleur came up onepaced over the final 100m to finish next best after a mid-race move from near the rear. Run Run Timing only plodded when asked for more after a prominent run on the fence. He couldn't back up a front-running second at his initial all-weather run.
