Race Four : (642) - HILLWOOD HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1600Meters
Horse No 3 MICKLEY (K082) Z Purton From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 HONG LOK GOLF (J517) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 SNOWFIELD (K251) M F Poon Jumped only fairly.
After the event M F Poon could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 7 FLAMINGO TRILLION (H192) A Badel Near the 1300 Metres was steadied to avoid STEPS AHEAD (L Ferraris) which shifted in when not quite clear.
L Ferraris was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.
FLAMINGO TRILLION then raced keenly for some distance thereafter.
Horse No 8 PRAY FOR MIR (J245) A Atzeni After the event A Atzeni stated that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result was unable to lead as instructed.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 1 ENCOUNTERED (G236) K C Leung Withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice at 12:19 pm when it was found to have a skin condition in the stable.
Before being allowed to race again, ENCOUNTERED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Hong Lok Golf moved forward to sit one off in second 1,150m out and lifted late to take control 50m out for a fifth win from six starts, despite a step up to 1,600m. He's got a bright future. Punted late Pray For Mir picked up late to just take second after peeling three wide 500m out travelling effectively one-out, one-back following a tardy start. It was another honest performance. Steps Ahead grudgingly gave way after getting his own way in front from gate seven. It was another solid run following a near win last start over 1,800m. Mickley came from last for fourth without threatening the top three in the small field. It was a better effort on his past few starts. The Golden Scenery got by a couple of struggling rivals after making his run one from the rear. Flamingo Trillion was yielding ground 200m out after getting all favours on the leader's back. He's not racing well. Snowfield disappointed after a rails run from midfield.
