Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (653) - CHANTILLY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501) M F Poon After the event M F Poon stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position but despite riding his mount along in the early stages it did not show sufficient pace to do so.
Horse No 2 GOKO WIN (H069) H Bowman Approaching the 300 Metres shifted out and made contact with MAJESTIC DELIGHT.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Approaching the 300 Metres was bumped by GOKO WIN which shifted out to improve.
After the event K Teetan reported that his mount over-raced throughout the early and middle stages of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 GALVANIC (H147) B Avdulla Near the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded by FLYING AKEED (M L Yeung) which shifted in when not clear.
M L Yeung was reprimanded.

Horse No 6 MY DAY MY WAY (J519) C L Chau From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 800 Metres was briefly crowded by CIRCUIT DUFFY which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FLYING AKEED (J471) M L Yeung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) K C Leung Near the 400 Metres was steadied to avoid VULCANUS.
Near the 150 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of TEAM HAPPY to continue into clear running.
After the event K C Leung reported that the instructions were to hold a midfield position.
He said when his mount jumped only fairly he elected to shift it across behind runners in the early stages to avoid covering additional ground.
Horse No 10 VULCANUS (J150) J Orman Leaving the 200 Metres raced tight to the inside of ISLAND BUDDY.
Again near the 50 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of ISLAND BUDDY (A Atzeni) which shifted in.
As a result VULCANUS could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.

Firming favourite Goko Win straightened two from the rear and took the short route home through the middle to just defeat My Day My Way for a second win from 20 starts. He was able to build on an unlucky fifth last start following a downgrade. My Day My Way came from last and widest out to just miss by a short head. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in two of his past three starts. Smart Fighter found a couple just too good after reclaiming the lead 100m out following a prominent run on the fence. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Sensationally-backed Island Buddy held on for fourth after rushing forward three wide to lead 950m out from gate 12. It was a good effort after missing a start when lame last month. Team Happy battled on for fifth after prompting the pace between runners from a wide draw. It was a better run with the claim well utilised. Vulcanus ran on steadily to finish next best after a rails run from midfield. Good Prospect wove a run late without threatening after ridden conservatively at the rear from gate seven.
