Punted late Chateauneuf travelled prominently on the fence, rushed to the lead 160m out and was too smart for a third win from 17 starts and second over the Valley 1,200m this term. King Miles ran on nicely near the outside to grab second after making his run second last from gate nine. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in his past two of three runs following a switch to the Valley 1,200m. Beauty Infinity stayed on nicely for third after a one-off trip from midfield. He has honest form over the Valley 1,200m. Jolly Ruler came up one-paced after a one-out, one-back run. He found a few too good on his return to Class Three after a win. Superb Capitalist grudgingly gave way after rushing forward to lead one off outside early favourite Lucky Planet 800m out from gate 12. It was a better effort. Fatal Blow made some ground late down the outside after settling third last from gate 11. He didn't disgrace upgraded off a light weight following a win. Lucky Planet didn't offer much in the straight drive after getting headed for the lead. He wasn't able to adapt up in grade following back-to-back wins.

Horse No 2 FAST RESPONDER (J295) H Bowman In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being checked away from CHATEAUNEUF.

Horse No 4 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 SUPER JOY N FUN (J164) C L Chau Raced keenly in the early stages.

Making the first turn got its head up when being steadied away from BEAUTY INFINITY.

Horse No 6 WOLF COMING (K353) H Bentley After the event H Bentley stated that when he had concern with his mount's action from the 600 Metres he eased it down from the event when he felt there may be something amiss.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of WOLF COMING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, WOLF COMING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 7 LUCKY PLANET (H235) M Chadwick After the event M Chadwick reported that he was obliged to make some use of his mount to lead and further was disadvantaged by being pressured by SUPERB CAPITALIST.

He added LUCKY PLANET did not stretch out in the Home Straight and attributed this to the racing surface which was showing some effects of light rain which had fallen during the meeting.

The performance of LUCKY PLANET, a last start winner, was considered disappointing.

Horse No 8 WAVE GARDEN (K209) K C Leung In the middle stages raced keenly and approaching the 800 Metres was steadied away from KING MILES.

For a short distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving behind SUPERB CAPITALIST.

After the event K C Leung stated that with the expected fast pace of the event he anticipated taking up a midfield position.

He said after beginning only fairly he elected to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages to avoid racing wide.

Horse No 9 FATAL BLOW (J484) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.

After the event A Atzeni stated that with the expected fast early pace he was instructed to endeavour to find cover.

He said as a result he rode his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages to comply with his instructions which resulted in FATAL BLOW settling midfield three wide with cover.

Horse No 10 KING MILES (J158) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.

Raced keenly in the middle stages.

Sent for sampling post-race.
