Race Six : (674) - TIN SAU HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) H Bowman Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping.
Horse No 2 LEGENDARY IMPACT (K035) K C Leung Making the first turn approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when crowded between KNOW AT HEART which lay out slightly and HARMONY N HOME (Y L Chung) which shifted in before being corrected.
Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care.
Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race.
Horse No 3 KNOW AT HEART (K108) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped with RICH HORSE.
Horse No 4 TOP PEAK (H441) C L Chau In the middle stages raced keenly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 INCREDIBLE MOMENT (K275) L Ferraris Approaching the 50 Metres shifted out when racing greenly and as a result was steadied to avoid BIENVENUE when that runner shifted in slightly.
The Stewards attributed the racing manners of INCREDIBLE MOMENT to be the principal reason for the horse being steadied.
Horse No 7 HARMONY N HOME (C531) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 BIENVENUE (J490) Z Purton When questioned Z Purton stated that he had expected the lack of early pace in the event and for this reason he elected to ride his mount forward.
Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that he had given Z Purton the option of taking up a more forward position.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Near the 50 Metres was steadied momentarily when INCREDIBLE MOMENT shifted out when racing greenly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 RICH HORSE (J191) M F Poon Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between KNOW AT HEART and YODA'S CHOICE which shifted out.
Horse No 11 YODA'S CHOICE (J146) E C W Wong Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 12 SHINKANSEN (H277) M Chadwick From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Bienvenue rolled forward three wide to track the leader Incredible Moment from gate nine before taking control 150m out for a first win at his 10th start. He lived up to a runner-up result when attempting the Valley 1,200m last month for the first time. Top Peak ran on well near the outside for second after slotting one off with cover travelling better than midfield from gate six. He is building towards a win in his past three starts. Know At Heart ran on nicely to just miss second after making his run five back and one off the fence. He should be able to find his mark shortly in this grade. California Deeply had his chance after a rails run from midfield. He couldn't offset top weight despite a downgrade. Incredible Moment tended to wander under pressure over the latter stages after clearing to lead near the 100m from gate 12. He's given a decent sight in both starts but still has kinks to iron out. Wiseman just held his ground after a prominent run on the fence. It was a better effort at his second start. Shinkansen came from near last to finish next best. He should be one to keep safe shortly in Class Five.
