Race Six : (742) - MEI TIN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 ENJOY GOLF (J222) E C W Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 STAR SATYR (K231) Y L Chung For a short distance near the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Over the concluding stages lay out under pressure.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 SPIRIT OF PEACE (K007) K Teetan Near the 900 Metres was bumped by RATTAN GALAXY and taken wider.
Horse No 4 RIDING TOGETHER (K081) A Atzeni Over the concluding stages was hampered when taken wider by STAR SATYR (Y L Chung) which shifted out.
Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 5 SWEET BRIAR (H044) L Hewitson The performance of SWEET BRIAR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SWEET BRIAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 TOP PEAK (H441) C L Chau In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 850 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from RIDING TOGETHER.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
Before being allowed to race again, TOP PEAK will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 MAX QUE (J514) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 GO GENERAL (H330) A Hamelin A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, GO GENERAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 KA YING RADIANCE (K134) Z Purton Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 QUICK CONTRIBUTION (K112) H Bowman Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between TOP PEAK and COSMO NAVIGATOR, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 11 RATTAN GALAXY (K143) P N Wong Slow to begin.
Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid COSMO NAVIGATOR, resulting in RATTAN GALAXY shifting out and making contact with SPIRIT OF PEACE.
Leaving the 250 Metres was bumped and taken wider when COSMO NAVIGATOR (H T Mo) shifted out.
H T Mo was advise to exercise more care.
Horse No 12 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung Near the 900 Metres was eased to avoid ENJOY GOLF (Apprentice E C W Wong) when that runner shifted in when not quite clear.
A short distance later COLOURFUL WINNER was then checked to avoid ENJOY GOLF when Apprentice Wong eased the pace.
Apprentice Wong was reprimanded and advised he must be sufficiently clear when shifting ground and not to reduce the pace too quickly once he obtains the lead.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 DRALA (J376) K De Melo Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded by RATTAN GALAXY (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted out.
Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care.
After the event K De Melo reported that his mount gave ground noticeably in the Home Straight and was noted to have its tongue over the bit on return to the scale.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of DRALA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, DRALA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 COSMO NAVIGATOR (H156) H T Mo Jumped awkwardly.
Leaving the 1000 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by MAX QUE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

Star Satyr just got the better of Colourful Winner in the concluding stages after a rails run travelling better than midfield for a first win at his fourth local start. Colourful Winner did everything but get the win after surging to the lead 280m out following a well-executed ride to find the box seat from gate 10. He was able to build on a third when trying the 1,400m last start. Riding Together just won a battle for third after a prominent run. He's building towards a win with top-four finishes in his past three starts. Favourite Max Que rallied nicely to just miss a placing after making his run five back and three deep with cover. It was another honest effort, but he has proven costly without winning in nine starts. Quick Contribution got going late near the inside for fifth after making his run third last from gate four. He's still only a three-year-old and might be a better runner six months from now. Punted late, Ka Ying Radiance just whacked on one paced after a wide trip without cover travelling midfield from gate 14.
