Race One : (767) - RUBY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 AURORA PATCH (K097) P N Wong Bumped at the start.
Horse No 2 MOON ROCKET (K324) K C Leung Bumped at the start.
Near the 450 Metres lay in and away from SANTORINI.
Horse No 5 BOWSER (H460) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
After the event L Ferraris reported that his mount, which was dropping back in distance to 1000 Metres today, did not travel well during the race and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 CIRRUS SPEED (K279) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly and was bumped shortly after the start.
Raced greenly and lay in for some distance leaving the 400 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 GREAT LOOKING (J198) C L Chau Bumped on the hindquarters soon after the start.
Near the 450 Metres shifted in and was bumped.
The performance of GREAT LOOKING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, GREAT LOOKING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 8 LIGHTNESS OF MUSIC (K436) Z Purton Lost its left front plate whilst proceeding to the starting gates, was replated and passed suitable to start by the Veterinary Officer.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 KA YING WARRIOR (H028) M F Poon Blundered on jumping and became unbalanced.
Horse No 10 APPEALING CITY (J491) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 11 KA YING RESILIENCE (J439) J Orman Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced.
Horse No 12 AMAZING GALAXY (J238) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 BLUE BARON (J448) H Bentley Bumped at the start.
Horse No 14 SANTORINI (J076) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and shortly after was crowded when bumped by KA YING RESILIENCE which shifted out.
Near the 450 Metres was bumped by GREAT LOOKING which shifted in and away from AURORA PATCH.

Lightness Of Music settled third in the run from gate 13 and was too strong after hitting the lead 150m out for a smart debut win. He lived up to his trials and clearly has a bright future. Amazing Galaxy kept on gamely after claiming the lead from Ka Ying Resilience 300m out following a speed tracking run on the stands side from gate 10. It was his best effort from seven starts. Ka Ying Warrior stayed on well for third after making his run midfield on the grandstand side. It was a better effort with a step back to 1,000m. Ka Ying Resilience had to settle for fourth after clearing from gate five to lead 800m out. It was another positive showing following a third last start over 1,200m. Aurora Patch just held his ground after a handy run in the centre of the track.
