Race Six : (772) - THE PREMIER CUP (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 BEAUTY ETERNAL (H008) Z Purton After the event Z Purton could offer no explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event H Bowman stated that after settling back in the field his mount was unable to make up any appreciable ground when under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 HAPPY TOGETHER (G446) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 PATCH OF THETA (H485) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Over the concluding stages raced tight between PACKING HERMOD and HAPPY TOGETHER, both of which shifted ground slightly.
As a result PATCH OF THETA could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event.

Copartner Prance led and lifted strongly to defeat Happy Together after repelling a challenge from Victor The Winner for most of the straight for an eighth win from 23 starts. Happy Together made it close on the wire after enjoying a box-seat run. He rarely produces a bad performance. Favourite Packing Hermod ran on nicely for third after a patient ride from third-last. It was a good effort up in grade after back-to-back wins. Patch Of Theta just won a battle for fourth after finding a spot one-off travelling midfield following a tardy start. It was another honest performance. Victor The Winner succumbed in the late stages after prompting the pace from gate three. It wasn't a bad performance at his first start beyond 1,200m. Mugen ran on without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. He's not the same horse as he was this season.
