Race Seven : (773) - EMERALD HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 COURIER ALADDIN (J387) P N Wong On jumping was bumped heavily by CIRCUIT CENTURY which shifted in abruptly.
Horse No 2 GIDDY UP (J020) A Hamelin On jumping was steadied when crowded for room between COMET SPLENDIDO and FUN TOGETHER, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 3 DO YOUR PART (J444) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 COMET SPLENDIDO (G071) H Bentley Bumped at the start and became unbalanced.
The performance of COMET SPLENDIDO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, COMET SPLENDIDO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 FUN TOGETHER (H041) C L Chau Bumped on jumping.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 CIRCUIT CENTURY (K308) K De Melo Shifted in abruptly at the start and was bumped.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 MASTER OF HUMOR (K281) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
The performance of MASTER OF HUMOR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MASTER OF HUMOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 SMART FAT CAT (K280) M F Poon Approaching the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of PRESTIGE HALL to continue into clear running.
Horse No 12 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) J Orman For a short distance near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind SUNNY Q.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 LOOKS OUTSTANDING (K022) L Hewitson After the event L Hewitson stated that his instructions were to go forward with his mount stepping up in distance.
Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.
Before being allowed to race again, LOOKS OUTSTANDING will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 SUNNY Q (J223) A Atzeni Trainer W Y So stated that he expected SUNNY Q to settle in a midfield position, however, after SUNNY Q began well Jockey A Atzeni was able to obtain a more forward position than expected.
Horse No 11 BILLION TWO (K212) K C Leung Withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind).
Before being allowed to race again, BILLION TWO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Fun Together got up 120m out after a rails run from midfield for a fifth win and fourth over 1,400m from 28 starts. He proved a runner-up result last start was not a fluke. The Auspicious ran on nicely for second after a rail run from behind midfield. He has been racing consistently well in his past few starts following a 1,400m win in March. Firming favourite Do Your Part just held on for third after dictating the run from gate nine. He was able to back up a win last start. Smart Fat Cat got going late for fourth after improving from last to have three behind him coming to the final bend. He's made a good impression in both starts and will be picking up a race shortly. Prestige Hall whacked on one paced after a box seat run. It was an okay effort after a debut second over 1,200m. Courier Aladdin made only a mild bid after a one-off trip from better than midfield.
