Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Amazing Run was ridden patiently second last from gate 10 and quickened nicely near the outside to take control 80m out for a second win this season at start 21. Specked late Fortune Star dashed well near the inside for second after making his run at the rear from gate 12. It was clearly his best run to date but he did get the pace run to suit. Wah May Wai Wai had to settle for third after moving to the lead 150m out following a prominent run on the fence. He was able to build on an improved fourth last start. Jubilant Winnner ran on steadily for fourth after a one-off trip travelling better than midfield from gate four. He was able to build on sixths from gate 12 and 11 in two prior starts. Galaxy Witness ran on late for fifth without threatening the top four after a patient ride third last from gate nine. It was a typical performance. Amazing Award had his chance after a rails run from midfield. Nebraskan succumbed over the final 150m after clearing to lead 1,350m out from gate 11. Favourite Chain Of Gold ran on without threatening after making his run five back and on the fence from gate two.
