Recap by phillip woo

Gold Tack tracked the speed outside Lapras and surged into the lead at the 300m pole, keeping on gamely for a first win at his 30th start. He had filled the frame in his last couple of runs and the riding change to Zac Purton worked the oracle. Mr Aladdin ran on strongly for second after finding a spot one off travelling behind midfield from gate 13. He has been racing well without winning. Winning Seven stayed on nicely for third after a wide with cover trip from midfield. It was one of his better runs from 12 starts this term. Chateau Le Peche was doing some nice work late for fourth after making his run one from the rear. Favourite Super Hong Kong made only a mild bid after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He's more effective over 2,000m and 2,200m. Sensationally-backed Leather Master whacked on one paced after a wide no cover trip travelling better than midfield from gate 14. He had an excuse. Go Go Go couldn't turn it up another gear after a one-out, one-back run. He's looking forward to the summer recess.
