Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (799) - WORLD-CLASS LEADERSHIP 1000M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 HEROIC MASTER (G394) E C W Wong After the event Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no explanation for his mount's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 MULTIDUTCH (K171) M Chadwick As the start was effected lunged forward, made contact with the left side of its barrier and as a result was very slow to begin.
The barrier manners of MULTIDUTCH were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MULTIDUTCH will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Horse No 3 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) J Orman Shifted out at the start, made contact with the right side of its barrier and lost ground.
Horse No 4 EXTREME BOMB (K224) K De Melo Shortly after the start was severely checked when crowded between NOBLE DELUXE and SUPERB GUY.
Horse No 5 HAPPY ACTION (K399) B Thompson As the start was effected lunged forward when MULTIDUTCH became fractious, resulting in HAPPY ACTION making contact with the front gates of the starting gates as it jumped.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 MING SUPREME (K430) Y L Chung Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 7 MR DESIRA (K411) H Bentley Lay in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
After the event H Bentley stated that his mount jumped awkwardly, travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages but did not finish the race off when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 SUPERB GUY (K323) A Atzeni Had its right hind plate refitted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Shortly after the start was severely checked when crowded between EXTREME BOMB and BEAUTY THUNDER which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider A Badel after being bumped by MR DESIRA (H Bentley) which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
As the Stewards were satisfied that both A Badel and H Bentley had endeavoured to correct their mounts as soon as they shifted ground, no action was taken.
Horse No 10 BEAUTY THUNDER (J299) A Badel On jumping was bumped by MR DESIRA which shifted out, resulting in BEAUTY THUNDER becoming unbalanced, shifting in and having to be corrected by its rider.
Horse No 12 RISING PHOENIX (J498) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 AMAZING GALAXY (J238) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) K Teetan On jumping was crowded and became unbalanced.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind ROBOT LUCKY STAR.

Amazing Galaxy cut across to lead easily on the grandstand side from gate three and was too good for a first win at his eight starts. Rising Phoenix ran on nicely through the centre for second from behind midfield. He appreciated a step back to the straight 1,000m he ran over on debut fourth after two Valley defeats. Robot Lucky Star stayed on third best after chasing the speed from gate 13. It was a nice debut effort. Beauty Thunder stayed on well for fourth after making his run travelling midfield in the centre of the track. It was a positive performance at his first attempt over the straight 1,000m. Noble Deluxe kept grinding away for fifth after making his run better than midfield near the stands side. He will be looking forward to a downgrade. Debutante Mr Desira weakened in the run to the wire after sitting close to the speed from gate seven. He needed the run. Straight To Glory came up one paced travelling midfield on the far side. He was unable to defy an always difficult low draw.
