Race Nine : (816) - THE CHOW SILVER PLATE (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GUMMY GUMMY (H089) L Ferraris Near the 900 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by RIGHTEOUS ARION (A Badel) which shifted in.
A Badel was advised to exercise more care.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 2 SYMBOL OF STRENGTH (K352) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) J Orman Bumped at the start.
Horse No 4 SUPER LEGENDS (H364) E C W Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 RIGHTEOUS ARION (H059) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 MAGNIFIQUE (K141) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
In the early stages raced keenly.
Near the 1000 Metres was checked to avoid RIGHTEOUS ARION (A Badel) which shifted in and away from CHEVAL VICTORIOUS.
A Badel was severely reprimanded and advised he must ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.
Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.
Before being allowed to race again, MAGNIFIQUE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SUN WUKONG (K492) C L Chau From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 AKASHVANI (K234) H Bentley Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 LUCKY TWIN STARS (K126) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 CHEVAL VICTORIOUS (J458) M L Yeung Near the 900 Metres got its head up when being crossed by NORTHERN FIRE BALL.

After travelling better than midfield following a sluggish start and rushing to the lead 200m out, Magnifique kept finding to narrowly prevail for a third win from four starts. Righteous Arion stayed on gamely for second after rushing forward to track the speed 800m out. He's honest as the day is long. Akashvani stayed on nicely to finish a close third after travelling three wide in third from gate 10. It was a solid run in defeat. Lifeline Express ran on well to just take fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He continues to be a good money spinner for connections. Lucky Twin Stars finished nicely to just miss fourth after making his run three from the rear following a tardy start. He's still acclimatising but has flashed ability in two of his four local runs this term. Northern Fire Ball was gassed 100m out after spearing straight to the lead from gate 12.
