Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (822) - FA PO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 LEAN MASTER (H134) H Bentley After the event H Bentley advised that the intention was to take up a position with cover.
He said when he was complying with his instructions in the early stages LEAN MASTER raced keenly and near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid FORTUNE RACER, resulting in LEAN MASTER shifting out and racing wide and without cover thereafter.
Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions as LEAN MASTER does not show sufficient pace over 1000 Metres to go forward and lead.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 HAPPY UNITED (H208) Y L Chung After travelling a short distance shifted in and made contact with THOUSAND CUPS.
Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between THOUSAND CUPS and CRYSTAL POWERFUL.
Horse No 4 LUCKY TWENTY (K392) J Orman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 POWER SUMMIT (K044) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between HARMONY FIRE and DIVINE MOONLIGHT which shifted out.
Horse No 6 HARMONY FIRE (E175) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 KING VICTOR (K042) K C Leung In the middle stages raced keenly.
Horse No 8 THOUSAND CUPS (J482) M L Yeung Bumped after travelling a short distance.
Horse No 9 HAPPY BOYS (J545) Z Purton From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.
Approaching the 300 Metres was then steadied when disappointed for clear running between CRYSTAL POWERFUL and HAPPY UNITED which shifted out.
As a result HAPPY BOYS was held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres.
Horse No 10 DAY DAY VICTORY (J423) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 DIVINE MOONLIGHT (K119) B Thompson Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 12 FORTUNE RACER (J234) K De Melo Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid CRYSTAL POWERFUL (A Atzeni) which shifted in when not quite clear.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Debutant Lucky Twenty led from gate 11 and after being headed rounding the final bend, he fought back to take control 50m out for an upset win. He had held on for fourth after being on the on the speed in a pair of lead up trials. Harmony Fire found one too good on the day after claiming the lead 300m out following a box-seat run. It was his best effort from six runs following a downgrade. Favourite Day Day Victory stayed on for third after a handy run. It was another honest effort over the Valley 1,000m this season. Happy United ran on late for fourth after settling fourth last from gate 10. He is always a fleeting chance over the Valley 1,000m. Happy Boys was doing his best work late for fifth travelling second last from the widest draw. He does appear to be heading in the right direction based on his last two starts. King Victor made ground without threatening after making his run two from the rear. Crystal Powerful kept on one paced after a wide without cover trip travelling midfield from gate six. Punted late Lean Master will sleep well after getting posted four wide without cover from just off midfield from gate seven.
