Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (825) - GARDEN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 ENJOY GOLF (J222) H Bowman After the event H Bowman reported that his mount came under pressure after entering the Home Straight and raced like it had reached towards the end of its preparation.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) E C W Wong Near the 300 Metres shifted out to improve and bumped with BIENVENUE.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 BIENVENUE (J490) Z Purton Approaching the 300 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by FORTUNE WHISKEY which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 PRIME MORTAR (G328) Y L Chung Bumped at the start.
Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 900 Metres was steadied away from COUNTRY DANCER.
Near the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of ENJOY GOLF to obtain clear running and over the final 100 Metres raced tight between ENJOY GOLF and COUNTRY DANCER.
Horse No 7 HAPPY PARK (J311) A Atzeni Near the 700 Metres made contact with VIGOR ELLEEGANT due to both runners shifting ground.
After the event A Atzeni reported that his mount came under pressure on the Home Turn and gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of HAPPY PARK was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY PARK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 8 EXCEED THE WISH (J480) A Badel Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with PRIME MORTAR.
Near the 600 Metres shifted in and was steadied when placed in restricted room to the inside of FORTUNE WHISKEY.
Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between VIGOR ELLEEGANT and FORTUNE WHISKEY (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in after being bumped by BIENVENUE which shifted in slightly.
Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care.
As a result EXCEED THE WISH was held up for clear running between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres.
Horse No 9 VIGOR ELLEEGANT (J375) C L Chau Near the 700 Metres made contact with HAPPY PARK due to both runners shifting ground.
After the event C L Chau stated that he went forward as instructed but his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result weakened in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 10 METAL KING (K135) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind HAPPY PARK which was commencing to give ground.
Horse No 11 ACE POWER (J181) L Ferraris From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) K Teetan Leaving the 400 Metres endeavoured to improve into a narrow run between HAPPY PARK and WRITTEN CASA where there was doubtful room.
A short distance later WRITTEN CASA (M Chadwick) shifted to the outside of ENJOY GOLF to obtain clear running, resulting in COUNTRY DANCER having to be checked when disappointed for clear running between HAPPY PARK and WRITTEN CASA.
As the Stewards were satisfied that COUNTRY DANCER had not fully established clear running, they issued Jockey Chadwick with a severe reprimand for shifting out when not clear to do so.
Horse No SUMMIT CHEERS (E221) K De Melo Withdrawn on 8.7.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen left front leg) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter EXCEED THE WISH.
Before being allowed to race again, SUMMIT CHEERS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Outsider Ace Power settled third last from gate 10 and came with a withering run one wider out for a second Valley 1,200m success from 13 starts this term. He's not easy to get right but a gear change to visors worked the oracle. Bienvenue found one too good on the day after rushing to the lead near the 100m following a wide with cover trip travelling behind midfield from gate eight. He clearly has the tools to add to a win two runs ago. Written Casa stayed on well for third after a prominent run from gate two. It was a better effort from a good draw after misfiring last start from gate 12. Race favourite Fortune Whiskey kept on for fourth after slotting one off travelling better than midfield. It was another honest performance. Smashed late in betting, Country Dancer finished fifth after copping a check at the top of the straight following a rails run from midfield. Denfield ran on without threatening after settling fourth last from gate nine. He could not defy top weight. Early favourite Enjoy Golf tamely faded after dictating the pace from gate four. He's a better runner at Sha Tin.
