Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (830) - BIG PROFIT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232) E C W Wong Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.
When questioned Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his instructions were to go forward.
He said in the early stages he was obliged to make use of his mount to cross runners to his inside which resulted in FUN N FUN TOGETHER obtaining the lead and setting a strong pace in front.
He added that in the middle stages he was able to control the pace but in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and gave ground under pressure.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) A Atzeni After the event A Atzeni reported that his mount was bumped near the 800 Metres and became unbalanced.
He said GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY was obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event before finishing the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
Noted to be making a respiratory noise after the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" Horse No 4 PARTERRE (E234) Y L Chung After the event Y L Chung stated that from a wide barrier he had to make use of his mount in the early stages to hold a more forward position.
He said when unable to cross runners to his inside his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, PARTERRE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 5 GOOD CHAP (J499) H Bowman A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 THE GOLDEN KNIGHT (K341) K C Leung On jumping blundered, resulting in THE GOLDEN KNIGHT becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
Near the 200 Metres become held up for clear running behind NEWBORN MIRACLE and as a result was held up for clear running between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.
Horse No 8 ALL'S WELL (K294) B Thompson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 NOBLE FANS (K038) K Teetan Near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid NEWBORN MIRACLE and as a result shifted out and made contact with ELEGANT LIFE.
Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between NEWBORN MIRACLE and KING ALLOY.
As a result NOBLE FANS was shifted to the inside of NEWBORN MIRACLE to obtain clear running.
Near the 200 Metres NOBLE FANS became badly unbalanced when improving into a narrow run to the inside of FUN N FUN TOGETHER which was commencing to give ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 WIN SPEED (J205) J Orman Shortly after the start was bumped by FUN N FUN TOGETHER which shifted in.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the first turn near the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly, shifted out, made contact with GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY and became unbalanced.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Noted to have sustained a small laceration to the left front leg after the race.
Horse No 11 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) L Ferraris Held up between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres.
After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on ELEGANT LIFE at the request of Trainer T P Yung.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, ELEGANT LIFE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 12 LEGEND STAR (K271) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 13 KING ALLOY (K099) H Bentley Near the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded between ELEGANT LIFE which shifted in when endeavouring to obtain clear running to the inside of AWESOME TREASURE and NEWBORN MIRACLE which shifted out.
Horse No 14 BLUE BARON (J448) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

All's Well travelled fifth last, shifted into the clear 300m out and quickened nicely to get up 100m out for a first win at his fourth start. Blue Baron finished nicely near the outside for second after making his run five back and three deep with cover from gate 11. It was clearly his best effort from eight starts. Awesome Treasure found a couple too good after briefly hitting the lead 160m out following a prominent run. He's a winner in waiting at this level. Elegant Life ran on well for fourth after making his run one-off traveling midfield. He was able to back up a closing fourth last start. Newborn Miracle ran on steadily after a rails run from better than midfield. It was a positive showing following a tendon injury. Legend Star came from towards the rear to finish next best. He's gone okay in two of five starts but is still a work in progress.
