Horse No 2 DO YOUR PART (J444) K De Melo Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 4 SUNSET TRAIL (K420) Z Purton Near the 300 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid SIGHT DREAMER (A Atzeni) which shifted out to improve.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.
After the event Z Purton stated that his mount raced greenly due to inexperience and was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 ONE AND ONLY (K273) K C Leung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 THE HEIR (H459) C Y Ho Bumped on jumping.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 CARRYON SMILING (J392) R Kingscote Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 CASA RUBICK (K299) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly.
After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount failed to travel throughout the race and when he became concerned with its action making the Home Turn he eased it down from the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of CASA RUBICK, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CASA RUBICK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
Horse No 9 YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) Y L Chung Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 10 BULL ATTITUDE (K305) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and made contact with THE HEIR.
Horse No 11 LUCKY MAN (J315) L Ferraris Shifted in at the start and bumped YIU CHEUNG VICTORY.
After the event L Ferraris stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position.
He said he was able to cross to race outside DO YOUR PART in the early stages but in the Home Straight his mount did not finish the race off which he attributed to the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time.
Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that he had given Jockey Ferraris the option of holding an on-pace position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of LUCKY MAN was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY MAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 13 GALE SAGA (J152) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427) M F Poon Passing the 100 Metres was eased to avoid THE HEIR (C Y Ho) which shifted in.
C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

The Heir made his run third last from gate eight and just got up 60m out for a first win at his 20th local run. He had always promised to deliver and was a well-rated runner after numerous placings. Specked late Gale Saga made it close on the wire after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He had been out of form but does go well fresh, including a first-up win last term. Favourite Do Your Part knocked up late after leading 160m out following a rails run travelling third from gate seven. It was another honest performance. Absolute Awakened ran on nicely for fourth after making his run second last from gate 14. It was an improved effort. Spangle Fortune kept on reasonably well after a wide trip travelling behind midfield from gate 10. He'll be a force to be reckoned with if he finds his way back into Class Five on his preferred dirt surface. Sight Dreamer made only a mild bid after a rails run from midfield. It was an OK effort following a Class Five win.
