Race Seven : (35) - REPULSE BAY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 WINGS OF WAR (H162) K De Melo From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 4 LA FORZA (J285) Z Purton Jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with CANDLELIGHT DINNER.
Horse No 5 SPICY GOLD (H440) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the event H Bowman reported that his mount lay in in the Home Straight and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of ROMANTIC SON for some distance near the 250 Metres.
Horse No 6 ROMANTIC SON (J537) H Bentley Bumped near the 400 Metres.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 FRIENDS OF SHAJING (K202) C L Chau Near the 950 Metres raced in restricted room between SUPERB CAPITALIST and JUSTIFYING which shifted in slightly after being bumped by HEALTHY HEALTHY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468) M L Yeung Bumped at the start.
Horse No 9 HEALTHY HEALTHY (H203) A Atzeni Shortly after the start was bumped.
Held up on the Home Turn and near the 400 Metres bumped with ROMANTIC SON.
Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between ROMANTIC SON and JUSTIFYING which shifted out slightly.
Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to JUSTIFYING which shifted out.
Horse No 10 SIR CHARGE (K361) K Teetan Slow to begin.
After the event K Teetan reported that near the 550 Metres SIR CHARGE reacted adversely to racing tight to the inside of HEALTHY HEALTHY and as a result he was obliged to check his mount.
Horse No 11 JUSTIFYING (K027) A Badel Shortly after the start bumped with HEALTHY HEALTHY which shifted in slightly.
Noted to have sustained a cut to the left hind leg after the race.

Firming to jump favourite, Superb Capitalist settled prominently on the fence before hitting the front 100m and drawing clear for a seventh win from 35 starts. He's taken advantage of good draws two win two of his past three starts. Youthful Spirits just scraped home second best after clearing the speedy Candlelight Dinner to lead 650m out. He's honest but isn't a prolific winner. La Forza just failed to get up for second after sitting third in the run with cover from gate seven. It was a good performance at his first start over the Valley 1,000m. Candlelight Dinner had to settle for fourth after leading for nearly the first two furlongs from gate six. He should come on from this run. Justifying stayed on reasonably well for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an OK performance at his first Valley start. Wings Of War was doing his best work late for sixth after biding his time two from the rear. He requires 1,200m. Healthy Healthy was short of room at times during the stretch run when trying to wind up with his effort following a patient ride three from the rear. He should have finished closer.
