Race Eight : (52) - THE CELEBRATION CUP (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 2 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) K De Melo Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 PATCH OF THETA (H485) C Y Ho Over the final 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind PACKING HERMOD.
Horse No 4 VICTOR THE WINNER (G404) C L Chau After the event C L Chau reported that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position.
He said with blinkers being removed today VICTOR THE WINNER did not show sufficient pace to do so despite his urgings in the early stages.
He added that when caught wide he was then obliged to come back to find a position with cover.
Horse No 5 MOMENTS IN TIME (H474) R Kingscote Bumped at the start.
Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
Horse No 7 SUNLIGHT POWER (H244) J Orman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay in in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out.
Horse No 8 MY WISH (J256) L Ferraris Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 RUBYLOT (H412) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 DIVANO (J142) Y L Chung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running to the inside of PATCH OF THETA.
Over the final 150 Metres could not be fully ridden out when racing in restricted room between JOHANNES BRAHMS and PATCH OF THETA.
Horse No 11 PRAY FOR MIR (J245) M Chadwick Near the 900 Metres was briefly crowded by COPARTNER PRANCE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
Horse No 12 LIGHT YEARS CHARM (K130) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when endeavouring to improve between PRAY FOR MIR and MY WISH.
When MY WISH (L Ferraris) then shifted in, LIGHT YEARS CHARM was steadied when disappointed for clear running passing the 200 Metres.
L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 13 JOHANNES BRAHMS (K014) A Atzeni Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 14 MARKWIN (J420) H Bentley Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Following a prominent run on the fence, My Wish accelerated nicely when a gap appeared 200m out to take control 50m out for a fifth win from 12 starts. He lived up to a solid first campaign. Copartner Prance would not go down without a fight after setting a moderate pace from gate 10. He nearly stole the race. Happy Together just missed second by a bob of the heads after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield. It was a big run carrying top weight. Packing Hermod had his chance but found a few too good after chasing the leading pair one off with cover. He should come on for the run. Rubylot ran on very well for fifth after settling last from gate 14. It was a good effort in a race run to suit those up front. Patch Of Theta stayed on sixth best but was held up for the majority of the straight after a one-off trip from midfield.
