Horse No 1 DANCING CLASSICS (J060) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 SALUTE KING PRAWN (K393) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 3 ARGENTO OCEAN (K322) H Bowman Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when positioned close to the heels of REWARDING BUDDY.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
H Bowman was fined the sum of $5,000 for weighing in 2 lbs overweight on return to scale.
Horse No 4 OWNERS' SUNSHINE (K437) K De Melo In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid ARGENTO OCEAN which shifted in.
Near the 250 Metres became slightly unbalanced when bumped by TELECOM POWER when being shifted out to attempt to obtain clear running.
Horse No 5 PERIDOT (K148) J Orman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 CRYSTAL POWERFUL (H068) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 7 FORTUNE WARRIOR (H229) C L Chau After the event C L Chau could offer no explanation for his mount's failure to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the event L Ferraris could offer no explanation for his mount's failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight.

Horse No 9 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) C Y Ho On jumping made contact with the left side of its starting gate and became unbalanced.
After the event C Y Ho reported that in this incident his left foot made contact with the starting gate partition.
Jockey Ho was examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining race riding engagements.
Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.

Horse No 12 TELECOM POWER (J332) M Chadwick Shortly after the start bumped with AWESOME TREASURE.
Near the 250 Metres was disappointed for clear running between JOLLY COMPANION and OWNERS' SUNSHINE.
TELECOM POWER was then shifted to the inside of JOLLY COMPANION to obtain clear running after making contact with OWNERS' SUNSHINE.

Favourite Dancing Classics had a perfect run on the leader's back before moving to the lead 250m out and finding enough to just prevail for a second win and first at the Valley from five starts. The switch to a 5lb claimer worked the oracle. Rewarding Buddy ran on well to finish a close second after a rails run from better than midfield. It was his best run from five starts. Well backed Jolly Companion ran on well for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was his best effort to date on turf. Argento Ocean lost third late after a wide trip without cover travelling midfield from gate 11. He had an excuse. Peridot was doing his best work late for fifth after biding his time second last from gate 12. He's still learning the ropes, but it was an encouraging effort at his first Valley start. Thousand Cups weakened after leading from gate six. Telecom Power ran on without threatening through the centre after making his run two from the rear. He'll be a force to be reckoned with if he can find his way into Class Five. Awesome Treasure tamely faded after a speed-tracking run from gate three. He's more effective at Sha Tin.
