Recap by phillip woo

Favourite King Miles had a perfect trip fourth on the fence from gate one before hitting the lead 40m out and and just scrambling in from the fast-finishing Storm Rider for a fourth win from 20 starts. He lived up to seconds in three of four late season runs following a switch to the Valley 1,200m. Storm Rider charged home late to just miss after biding his time at the rear from gate 10. He was able to build on a rallying fifth last month at Sha Tin. Specked late Lucky Planet kept on gamely for third after pinging straight to the front from gate five. It was a better effort at his third start this term. The Revolution kept on for fourth after settling worse than midfield on the fence. It was an improved effort second up and first at the Valley following a trial win. Justifying kept on one paced after sitting near the front wide and without cover from gate seven. Punted late Thriving Brothers came up one paced after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He just isn't good enough at this level. Super Infinity ran on without threatening after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield.
