Recap by phillip woo

Regal Gem settled just worse than midfield on the rails and got up late for a third win and a second from his past four starts. It was a terrific effort carrying top weight and he should remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. Spicy Gold found one too good after hitting the lead 100m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He is as honest as the day is long over the Valley 1,200m. Prestige Always ran on nicely near the outside for third after making his run four from the rear. It was an improved effort. Punted late Wonderstar grudgingly gave way after clearing to lead from gate 12. Cheaha made good ground late down the outside to just miss a top-four spot after biding his time second last from gate nine. It was an encouraging first start in Hong Kong. Plunged late in betting, Forza Toro just held his ground after a rails run from better than midfield. It wasn't a bad effort at his second local start and first since July. Devas Twelve came up one paced after a prominent run one off the fence. He's itching for a return to Class Four. Favourite Bienvenue found nothing when push came to shove after a box-seat run.
