Race Two : (161) - GRACE ONE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 CAP LINER (L012) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.
Horse No 2 GIANT BALLON (K451) L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that his mount made a respiratory noise when giving ground over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 JUMBO BLESSING (K529) C Y Ho Over the final 300 Metres lay out under pressure and shifted ground towards the grandstand running rail.
C Y Ho reported that his mount was standing awkwardly in the starting gates and as a consequence jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 MAGIC SUPER (K330) P N Wong Shifted out at the start and made heavy contact with CIRCUS SPEED.
Horse No 5 RUN RUN SUNRISE (K552) K C Leung Near the 350 Metres shifted out and away from JUMBO BLESSING and was bumped.
Horse No 6 SIGHT HERMOSO (L003) B Avdulla Bumped at the start.
Near the 350 Metres bumped with RUN RUN SUNRISE which lay out and away from JUMBO BLESSING.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SO MY FOLKS (K456) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 CIRRUS SPEED (K279) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly, got its head up and then was checked when crowded between KA YING WARRIOR and MAGIC SUPER which shifted out.
Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up behind SO MY FOLKS.
Near the 250 Metres CIRCUS SPEED was then eased when crowded between SO MY FOLKS and STRAIGHT TO GLORY which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 10 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) J Orman Over the final 350 Metres was held up for clear running and could not be tested to the finish of the event.
Horse No 11 KA YING WARRIOR (H028) K Teetan A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 LITTLE MONSTER (K391) C L Chau Jumped awkwardly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 WINNING DIAMOND (K216) M Chadwick Over the final 350 Metres was held up for clear running and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 14 WINNING MONEY (J116) K De Melo Between the 500 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind STRAIGHT TO GLORY.
When questioned K De Melo stated that after following GIANT BALLON near the 250 Metres he observed GIANT BALLON shift in slightly and as a consequence he endeavoured to improve to that runner's outside.
He said as he commenced to improve GIANT BALLON gave ground and shifted out slightly which resulted in WINNING MONEY having to be checked approaching the 200 Metres when unable to continue forward.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Well backed Sight Hermoso sat midfield before darting throgh the centre and proving too good for a maiden win after a luckless run last month on debut. He's got a bright future. Little Monster ran on nicely for second after fading back to travel near last from gate 14. It was a return to form after disappointing last start following a debut fourth over this trip. Punted late Cap Liner ran on nicely near the far side to just miss second after making his run in midfield from a low draw. It was an eye-catching debut effort. Debutant Jumbo Blessing succumbed late after rolling to the lead 300m out with a tendency to drift out under pressure following a midfield trip on the far side as the favourite. He should come on from the outing. So My Folks gradually faded after tracking the speed from gate five. It was a positive run on debut. Ka Ying Warrior plugged on at one pace after sitting near the speed from gate 10. It wasn't a bad run.
