Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Encountered made his run five back and one off the fence and timed things perfectly through the centre to just knock off Happy Together for an eighth win from 38 starts. Happy Together was touched off late leading 10m out after slotting in with cover one off from behind midfield 1,100m out. He was able to brush off an out-of-character run last start. Moments In Time stayed on well for third after a prominent run wide and without cover from a tricky gate. He's shown good progress in each of his three starts this term. Sunlight Power finished well for fourth following a rails run travelling three from the rear. Pray For Mir was stopping 100m out after getting his own way in front from gate eight. He's at his best over 1,600m. Massive Sovereign ran on without threatening after making his run behind midfield on the fence after a slow start. Favourite Cap Ferrat went amiss 650m out and was eased down rounding the final bend.
