Horse No 1 PUBLIC ATTENTION (L035) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 STAR RISE (K516) J McDonald Between the 400 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 5 SKY JOY (K026) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 STANLEY EXPRESS (K476) M L Yeung Bumped at the start.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to offset the wide barrier.
Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance approaching the 700 Metres got its head up when positioned close to the heels of ALWAYS AHEAD.
Horse No 7 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) L Hewitson Trainer B Crawford confirmed that from a wide barrier the instructions issued to L Hewitson were to go forward.
Horse No 8 SZERYNG (K317) Z Purton Between the 400 Metres and the 100 Metres was badly held up for clear running.
Over the concluding stages was unable to be ridden out to the finish when disappointed for clear running between SKY JOY and STORMY GROVE.

Horse No 9 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) H Doyle Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with YEE CHEONG GLORY.
Near the 100 Metres became unbalanced when HAROLD WIN shifted out towards that horse.
Horse No 10 STORMY GROVE (K478) H Bentley Lay out making the Home Turn.
Horse No 11 ALWAYS AHEAD (L055) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
Horse No 12 VERMILION TEMPEST (L093) A Badel Jumped only fairly and then became unbalanced when it made contact with YEE CHEONG GLORY.
Horse No 13 WOLF COMING (K353) R Kingscote Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 14 YEE CHEONG GLORY (K074) M Chadwick On jumping was bumped by IGOR STRAVINSKY and became unbalanced.

After sitting wide without cover near the front from gate 14, the well-backed Sky Joy kept finding after surging to the lead near the 200m for a third win to go with two seconds from five starts. He's got a bright future. Public Attention stayed on nicely for second after a box-seat run. It was a really nice run on his local debut. Stormy Grove ran on nicely for third after a wide trip with cover from midfield. He appreciated a step up to 1,200m on the back of a closing sixth on his local debut over the straight 1,000m. Star Rise got up for fourth along the inside despite getting badly held up for a run for most of the straight following a rails trip from behind midfield. Like Star Rise, favourite Szeryng was unable to obtain a clear run for most the straight run following a rails run from midfield. Pakistan Legacy succumbed over the final 100m after dictating the pace from gate nine. He needed the outing first up this season.
