Race Two : (236) - CAMERON HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 KING ALLOY (K099) R Kingscote Bumped at the start.
Horse No 3 WINNING MACHINE (K239) H Bentley Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 5 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) J McDonald Shifted out at the start and made contact with KING ALLOY.
Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.
Before being allowed to race again, COLOURFUL WINNER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 GLORY CLOUD (H320) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) H Bowman Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between GLORY CLOUD and WINNING MACHINE.
Horse No 8 CHEER FOR SOUTH (H178) C L Chau C L Chau reported that his mount was not comfortable racing amongst other horses during the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 EXCELLENT DADDY (E321) M Guyon Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) Z Purton A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) M Chadwick Made contact with a rail entering the racecourse and then became unbalanced when entering the All Weather Track.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 800 Metres was eased when crowded between GLORY CLOUD and YEE CHEONG RAIDER which shifted out slightly.
Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running behind COLOURFUL WINNER.
After improving into a tight run between COLOURFUL WINNER and GLORY CLOUD leaving the 200 Metres then could not be fully tested until passing the 100 Metres when it shifted to the outside of GLORY CLOUD.

Glory Cloud bided his time four from the rear and ran on nicely near the outside to take control 60m out for a first win at his 20th start. Firming favourite Colourful Winner stayed on well for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He lived up to a fourth following a downgrade last start over 1,400m. Modest Gentlemen made good ground late with two wider out for third after biding his time fourth last from gate 10. It was an improved performance. Viva Chaleur gradually faded after a speed-tracking run from gate six. He remains a non-winner in Hong Kong but rarely produces a bad run on this surface. Yee Cheong Raider ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from behind midfield. King Alloy just lost fifth late after dictating from gate five. It wasn't a bad run. Punted late Winning Machine only plodded when asked for an effort after slotting fifth and one off the fence with cover from gate nine. He couldn't lift carrying 16lb more.
