Race Six : (259) - JIM AND TONIC HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 CAMBRIDGE (K085) C Soumillon Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 2 GENTLEMEN LEGACY (K385) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
Z Purton reported that with his mount dropping back in distance it finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 WINNING GOLD (H461) U Rispoli U Rispoli stated that the instructions from a wide barrier were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Horse No 5 PRESTIGE GOOD (K131) J McDonald Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 SNOWFIELD (K251) A Atzeni Near the 900 Metres raced keenly and was steadied to avoid ENTHRALLED.
Horse No 7 MISTER DAPPER (H376) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 PANACEA (K256) M Chadwick A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 SKY VINO (K054) C Y Ho C Y Ho reported that the instructions were to endeavour to find a position three wide with cover.
He said throughout the event he was unable to comply with the instructions which resulted in SKY VINO having to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
He added he was of the view it would have been detrimental to the horse to go forward as he would have had to make too much use of it in the early stages to do so.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 MONEY CATCHER (G171) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 13 THE AUSPICIOUS (K004) K Teetan In the early stages raced ungenerously when being shifted in behind runners.
Horse No 14 SUPREME MASTERMIND (K387) H Doyle On jumping was crowded between GENTLEMEN LEGACY and PRESTIGE GOOD which shifted out.
Near the 400 Metres was briefly steadied to avoid GENTLEMEN LEGACY.
H Doyle reported that her mount race "flat" during the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Prestige Good tracked the speed from gate six and just wore down Mister Dapper late for a second win at start 13. He was able to build on a gutsy second last start over 2,000m. Heavily backed Mister Dapper wouldn't go down without a fight after leading from gate 13. He's a winner waiting to happen. The Auspicious finished well down the outside for third without threatening the top two after a patient ride second last from gate 10. He's having a productive campaign and didn't mind the step up to 1,800m. Enthralled just failed to get up for third after a wide trip with cover from midfield. He was able to build on a fifth last start over 2,000m. Snowfield made good ground late for fifth after a wide trip travelling four from the rear. He's run well to finish in the mix in his past four starts across both surfaces. Pope Cody plugged on one paced after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He didn't seem to handle the rise in trip.
