Recap by phillip woo

Yiu Cheung Victory dictated a slow pace from gate six and just clung on for a second win and first in this grade from his past three starts. The step up to 2,000m was not an issue after a win two runs ago over the Valley 1,650m. Punted late Volcanic Spark rushed home late down the outside to finish a close second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a good effort after showing improved form at his past two of three starts this term. Early favourite Packing Hurricane kept on well for third after a prominent run one off the fence. He's close to a career-low rating after notching thirds in two of his past three starts. Serangoon ran on steadily for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. He's run well to fill the frame twice over 2,000m from his past three starts. Market mover Hakka Radiance just held his ground after a handy run on the fence.
