Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (309) - LEI MUK SHUE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 ENDUED (K033) M Guyon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 ETALON OR (J273) A Badel Improved into a tight run near the 300 Metres and then became unbalanced when crowded between CALIFORNIA BANNER and GLORIASTAR.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533) R Kingscote Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 THE GOLDEN KNIGHT (K341) H Bowman Between the 450 Metres and the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of CONSPIRACY WITNESS.
Horse No 8 GLORIASTAR (K439) L Ferraris Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Approaching the 300 Metres ETALON OR improved into a narrow run between GLORIASTAR and CALIFORNIA BANNER.
A short distance later CALIFORNIA BANNER then shifted in slightly and GLIORIASTAR was then steadied when taken out by RISING PHOENIX (Z Purton) which shifted out.
As a result GLORIASTAR and ETALON OR made contact and became unbalanced.
After considering the evidence Jockey Purton was reprimanded when the Stewards found that whilst he had shifted to the outside of THE LION KING to improve where there was doubtful room they were satisfied that he had made an effort to straighten his mount when it shifted out and away from THE LION KING.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 KYRUS TREASURE (K300) C L Chau From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 12 SANDMAN (K220) D Probert Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 AMAZING FUN (H442) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by GLORIASTAR which shifted in.
Horse No LUCKY KING (J449) H Bentley LUCKY KING, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 31.12.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right front tendon injury).
Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Endued settled behind midfield and after surging to the lead one off the fence 200m out, he was too smart for a second win at his 14th start. Happy Universe ran on nicely for second after a wide with cover trip travelling behind midfield from gate 13. He's a winner in waiting with placings in three of four starts this season. Early favourite The Golden Knight ran on late near the outside for third after biding his time second last from gate 12. He's racing well without winning. Outsider Kyrus Treasure ran on late through the centre for fourth after making his run at the rear from gate 14. It was his best effort from four starts with a step up to 1,600m. Rising Phoenix ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an OK effort. Better And Better faded after leading 300m out following a speed-tracking run. It was another costly run.
