Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (348) - YACHT CLUB HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) R Kingscote Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied when crowded between CALIFORNIA BANNER (M Chadwick) which shifted out when positioned close to CONSPIRACY WITNESS and GLORIOUS JOURNEY (C Y Ho) which maintained a tight line to the outside of HARMONY GALAXY.
Both M Chadwick and C Y Ho were advised to exercise more care.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind INCANTO STAR.
Near the 100 Metres was eased to avoid CALIFORNIA BANNER (M Chadwick) when that runner shifted in when not quite clear.
M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 3 GLORIOUS JOURNEY (J137) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Noted to have sustained a minor abrasion to the right front leg after the race.
Horse No 4 CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) M Chadwick Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 FORERUNNER (G465) M Guyon M Guyon reported that the intention was to hold a midfield position but after his mount commenced well it was able to hold an on-pace position without being pressured to do so.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 FORTUNE STAR (K003) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was bumped by CALIFORNIA BANNER which shifted out.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Held up making the Home Turn.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 INCANTO STAR (K343) Z Purton On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by SHINKANSEN which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541) H Bentley H Bentley could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 SHINKANSEN (H277) L Hewitson Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Horse No APOLAR FIGHTER (J169) C L Chau Withdrawn on 13.1.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter NORTHERN FIRE BALL.
Before being allowed to race again, APOLAR FIGHTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No FUN TOGETHER (H041) K C Leung Withdrawn on 13.1.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CALIFORNIA BANNER.
Before being allowed to race again, FUN TOGETHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Second favourite Fortunate Star travelled four back on the fence and stormed home once switching one off in the straight to score impressively. It was a deserved breakthrough after three seconds from his previous nine starts. Incanto Star settled three back on the fence before he was pulled out to the centre of the track at the top of the straight and made good ground for second. He can go one better soon. Plunged late to start favourite, California Banner travelled one off behind midfield and rattled home late to finish next best. He has produced the odd good run and would appreciate a positive draw. Smart City settled two back on the fence from the inside draw before coming off the inside in the straight to make his run when fourth. It was an honest effort. Good Luck Win worked hard in the early stages out wide from gate 12 to track the speed from the 1,100m, before keeping on solidly for fifth. He has shown a bit on his last two runs. Noble Pursuit was eased back to last from gate 11 and made up some ground, despite being briefly baulked for a run just before the 100m, to finish sixth.
