Favourite Super Express travelled prominently and wide without cover from gate nine and kept up a strong gallop to lead 150m out for a second win from six starts. Six Pack was an unlucky second after getting held up until the 100m following a box-seat run. It was another solid effort carrying top weight following a win. Sunny Da Best ran on well for third after straightening three from the rear. It was a return to form from him. Without Compare ran on nicely for fourth after a handy run one off the fence from gate three. He's made a good impression in both local starts. Everyone's Star ran on late for fifth after a wide trip settling third last from gate six. It was another honest performance. Riding Together was yielding ground 100m out after dictating the run from gate 10. Mid Winter Wind wove a run through the centre for to finish next best ridden for luck at the rear from gate 13. He's one to keep safe from a better draw.

Between the 400 Metres and 100 Metres was held up for clear running.

When improving into a narrow run between THRIVING BROTHERS and RIDING TOGETHER between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres made contact with those two runners on a number of occasions.

Horse No 4 DARYL FLASH (L168) M F Poon Raced very wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.

Horse No 5 RIDING TOGETHER (K081) L Hewitson Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was bumped on a number of occasions.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight to the inside of SIX PACK.

Horse No 6 SUPER EXPRESS (K245) M Guyon Lay in over the final 200 Metres.

Near the 900 Metres was momentarily crowded by SO YOU WILL which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

Horse No 14 BUCEPHALAS (K096) M Chadwick When questioned M Chadwick stated that the instructions were to settle the horse where comfortable.

He said from the outside barrier when caught wide in the early stages his mount settled towards the rear of the field when it was unable to hold a more forward position.

He said making the Home Turn he commenced to improve to the outside of MID WINTER WIND but as he attempted to improve between MID WINTER WIND and SO YOU WILL he was obliged to check his mount near the 300 Metres when MID WINTER WIND shifted out.

He said as a consequence he elected to shift back to the inside where it obtained clear running passing the 300 Metres.

Trainer W K Mo confirmed the instructions were to find cover.
