Recap by phillip woo

Shotgun got pressured for the lead to his outside by Circuit Victory but kept finding for a maiden win at his 12th start. Always Fluke ran on nicely for second after a rails run from midfield. It was a solid run down in Class Five off a 329-day injury-induced absence. Punted late Rewarding Twinkle rallied well for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He was able to back up a pleasing fourth last start over 1,400m. Only U was doing his best work late near the inside for fourth after making his run five back on the fence. It was another honest effort. General Smart finished well with three wider out for fifth after making his run one off outside Only U in the run. I P O Bros made a mild bid after a wide trip without cover from behind midfield.
