Horse No 1 PATCH OF THETA (H485) H Bowman Bumped over the concluding stages.
Noted to have sustained a laceration to the left hind leg.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) H Bentley Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 4 BEAUTY ETERNAL (H008) B Avdulla Shortly after the start raced tight between DROMBEG BANNER and TOMODACHI KOKOROE which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 5 HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) C L Chau Leaving the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid DROMBEG BANNER (A Atzeni) which shifted in when not quite clear.
A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 6 DROMBEG BANNER (H117) A Atzeni Over the concluding stages shifted out and made contact with PATCH OF THETA.

Top weight and odds-on favourite Patch Of Theta sat one out and one back before reeling in long-time leader Drombeg Banner 20m out for a seventh win at his 25th start. He deserved that after just missing in a Group Three last start. Punted late Drombeg Banner wouldn't go down without a fight after clearing to lead as expected from gate three. He's always a chance when allowed to bowl along in front. Light Years Charm came from last to just take third in the small six-runner field. It was a better run following a downgrade after two defeats at Group level. Healthy Happy plugged on to just miss a placing after taking a trail on the leader's back from gate one. It was another honest effort this season. Beauty Eternal had his chance but peaked on his run 100m out after binding his time one from the rear. The seven-year-old is beyond his better days.
