Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (397) - LAM TSUEN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MABUBU (K586) C Y Ho Bumped on jumping.
Briefly crowded near the 50 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 LUCKY XANDER (K407) D B McMonagle After travelling a short distance raced tight to the inside of DASHING PEACH.
Approaching the 1100 Metres was bumped by WARRIORS DREAM and as a result shifted in and made contact with BROWNNEEDSFURTHER.
Near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid DASHING PEACH (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear.
B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 3 RUN RUN SMART (K080) E C W Wong Passing the 900 Metres made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced.
Briefly crowded approaching the 50 Metres.
Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount jumped only fairly and then was further hampered when crowded by VIVA FIRECRACKER.
He said as a consequence RUN RUN SMART settled further back in the field than intended.
Horse No 4 CALL ME SUCCESS (K462) A Atzeni After the 1000 Metres raced tight to the inside of BROWNNEEDSFURTHER (J Orman) which shifted in.
J Orman was advised to exercise more care.
Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.
Horse No 5 CHATER FLASH (L082) L Ferraris Shifted out on jumping.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running behind MERLION.
Leaving the 100 Metres was then shifted to the outside of VIVA FIRECRACKER to continue into clear running.
Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when positioned close to VIVA FIRECRACKER which shifted out when awkwardly placed close to CHILL PARTNERS.
Horse No 6 CROSSBORDERDUDE (L022) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 DASHING PEACH (L066) B Avdulla Approaching the 1100 Metres shifted in and away from WARRIORS DREAM and made contact with LUCKY XANDER.
Raced wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
Near the 700 Metres was bumped by BROWNNEEDSFURTHER.
Near the 350 Metres was hampered when taken wider by BROWNNEEDSFURTHER which shifted out.
Horse No 8 MERLION (L176) H Bowman Near the 100 Metres RUN RUN SMART improved to the outside of WARRIORS DREAM, resulting in MERLION being placed in restricted room.
Near the 50 Metres MERLION was then checked when crowded between MABUBU which shifted in and away from VIVA FIRECRACKER which also shifted in and RUN RUN SMART (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted out and away from WARRIORS DREAM after being taken out slightly by that runner.
After considering all the evidence Apprentice Wong was advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to make a greater effort to straighten his mounts to avoid causing interference to other runners.
Horse No 9 CHILL PARTNERS (K484) C L Chau Bumped near the 1000 Metres.
Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 900 Metres shifted in and bumped WARRIORS DREAM.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 WARRIORS DREAM (K255) K Teetan Bumped on jumping.
Near the 1000 Metres shifted out when being corrected by its rider and as a result made contact with CHILL PARTNERS.
Near the 900 Metres was bumped by CHILL PARTNERS when that runner shifted in when racing keenly.
Horse No 11 BROWNNEEDSFURTHER (K325) J Orman Bumped near the 1100 Metres.
Near the 700 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted out and away from MERLION and made contact with DASHING PEACH.
Horse No 12 LUCKY FIELD (K292) Y L Chung Held up for clear running approaching the 400 Metres.
Horse No 13 VIVA FIRECRACKER (L065) M Chadwick Crowded on jumping between RUN RUN SMART and AUTUMN VIBES which shifted in.
Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when awkwardly placed close to CHILL PARTNERS.
Horse No 14 AUTUMN VIBES (K150) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with VIVA FIRECRACKER.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Crossborderdude rolled forward three wide from gate 10 to eventually sit outside the leader and kept on gamely for a maiden win at his fourth start. Chill Partners stayed on well to just miss after easing out of an early duel for the front to take the trail on the leader's back from gate nine. He's naturally building towards a win from his three starts. Punted late Brownneedsfurther ran on nicely to finish a close third after a oneoff trip from better than midfield. He keeps promising without delivering. Specked late Viva Firecracker finished well after straightening nearly five deep for fourth following a patient ride second last from gate 12. He's heading in the right direction. Call Me Success ran on steadily without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's gone all right in both outings.
