Horse No 1 SMART GOLF (L004) H Bentley Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 JOY CAPITAL (K573) J Orman A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 FOREST KING (K527) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between ADORABLE SMILE and KIAMA.
Horse No 5 IMPRESSIVE CHAMP (K522) R Kingscote R Kingscote reported that his mount lay out in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride out.
Horse No 6 MY TRIUMPH (K558) B Avdulla From a wide barrier raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 ADORABLE SMILE (L011) M Guyon Approaching the winning post was steadied to avoid KIAMA (D B McMonagle) which shifted in.
D B McMonagle was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 8 HONORARY (K481) M Chadwick Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.
M Chadwick reported that his instructions were to go forward.
He said when HONORARY jumped better today he was able to comply with the instructions that had been issued.
Horse No 9 KIAMA (K359) D B McMonagle Shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of KA YING WARRIOR.
Horse No 10 MAGIC SUPER (K330) C L Chau A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 PRESTIGE HALL (K040) H Bowman On jumping was hampered when crowded between SMART GOLF and HONORARY which shifted out.
Raced keenly in the middle stages.

Horse No 14 KA YING WARRIOR (H028) M F Poon Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid CLOUD NINE (L Ferraris) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear before being corrected by its rider.
L Ferraris was severely reprimanded.
M F Poon reported that with sheepskin cheek pieces being reapplied his mount raced keenly before finishing the race off only fairly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Happy Shooter capitalised on a rails run from better than midfield to get up 20m out. He had put the writing on the wall last start when a good second. Prestige Hall whizzed home late down the outside to just grab second after a patient ride second last from gate 11. He's a winner waiting to happen. Odds-on favourite Smart Golf was touched off late after dictating the run from gate 12. It was another solid effort carrying top weight following a win at his second start last month. Punted late Cloud Nine just missed second by a nose after a box-seat run. He's close to a win after flashing ability in his three starts. Firming late in betting, Decision Link ran on steadily for fifth without threatening the first four after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a better effort following a stable change. Kiama made a decent bid late for sixth after making his run two from the rear. It was an encouraging effort off a 273-day injury-induced absence.
