Race Six : (399) - HOI HA HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 WE ARE HERO (G207) E C W Wong Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when improving into a narrow run between BLUE ILLUSION and AKERMANIS GOLD.
Horse No 2 WONDERSTAR (J531) M Chadwick Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of ALPHA STRIKE when that runner hung in.
Horse No 3 ALPHA STRIKE (L019) C Y Ho Over the final 200 Metres hung in when placed under pressure.
Horse No 4 GLOWING PRAISES (L223) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 TOGETHER WE VALUE (L170) Z Purton Bumped shortly after the start.
Near the 150 Metres was bumped slightly by GLOWING PRAISES which shifted in and away from WONDERSTAR.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 BLUE ILLUSION (K468) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of the starting gate, resulting in its rider L Hewitson becoming badly unbalanced and his right foot being dislodged from his stirrup for some distance.
Horse No 7 SIGHT HERMOSO (L003) B Avdulla Bumped shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 INVINCIBLE STARR (L078) K Teetan Near the 200 Metres was steadied to avoid SIGHT HERMOSO (B Avdulla) which shifted out when not clear.
B Avdulla was severely reprimanded.
Horse No 10 THUNDER KIT (L121) M Guyon Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 11 TACTICAL VICTORY (K521) H T Mo A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Outsider Glowing Praises settled handy in the centre of the course from gate eight before shooting to the lead 80m out and keeping on gamely for a nice debut win in Hong Kong. It was a smart performance. Together We Value stayed on nicely to finish a close second from midfield travelling midfield near the far side from gate three. It was a good performance on his local debut. Favourite Sight Hermoso finished nicely to just miss second travelling behind midfield in the centre of the track. It was another honest performance. Alpha Strike grudgingly gave way after vying for the front with Wonderstar. It was a better effort with a return to the trip of a debut win in Hong Kong. Thunder Kit ran on well for fifth travelling second last after a slow start. He was able to build on an unlucky ninth on his local debut in December.
