Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (463) - PEONY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 YOUNG EMPEROR (K011) L Ferraris Raced ungenerously in the early stages when being shifted across behind runners.
Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 2 ETERNAL FORTUNE (K010) E C W Wong Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.
Raced keenly in the early stages when being steadied to allow FUN N FUN TOGETHER to cross.
Apprentice E C W Wong stated that, in his opinion, the horse is better suited racing at Happy Valley.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) D B McMonagle Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 COOL BOY (L014) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 LADY'S LOVE (L220) K Teetan K Teetan reported that his mount, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, raced greenly throughout the event.
Horse No 6 PRESTIGE WIN (L248) L Hewitson On jumping was crowded between ETERNAL FORTUNE and PACKING GLORY, both of which shifted ground.
Over the final 150 Metres was held up for clear running between COPARTNER FLEET and EVER LUCK and could not be tested to the finish of the event.
Horse No 7 PACKING GLORY (L013) M Chadwick Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Horse No 10 EVER LUCK (K235) A Badel A Badel stated that the instructions were to attempt to lead.
He said when his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to cross PACKING GLORY it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
He added in the Home Straight his mount raced "flat" A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Progressive three-year-old Cool Boy travelled wide with cover in midfield before rushing to the lead 150m out and finding enough for a third straight win and first in this grade plus a third from four starts. He's got the tools to head much higher. Lifeline Express came from last to finish a clear-cut second. He's building toward a win. Punted late Packing Glory found a couple too smart after a speed-tracking run outside Fun N Fun Together from gate four. It was a good run up in grade following a win and second from three Class Fours. Young Emperor rushed home late for fourth after biding his time third last from gate seven. It was a good effort carrying top weight after a win two runs ago. Lady's Love ran on well down the outside for fifth after making his run one from the rear. It was a pleasing run on his local debut.
