Recap by phillip woo

Stormi led from gate six and after straightening one-length ahead, he kept finding for a third consecutive win following a move to cheek pieces. He was able to keep rolling after getting away with a slow opening 400m carrying 8lb more. Amazing Award found one too good after a box-seat run. It was a return to form over his favourite Valley 1,650m. To Infinity stayed on well for third after taking off 450m out following a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was his best run from five starts after a win back in September. Fortune Star stayed on a non-threatening fourth after peeling off a wall of horses for a clear run 200m out following a rails run from midfield. It was still a good effort carrying 9lb more following a win. Punted late Star Brose came from near last and widest out for fifth. It was a better effort at his second run back in Class Four following a bottom grade win over 2,200m. Well-backed late Night Purosangue didn't find much after chasing the winner one off from gate three. He performs better on dirt. Good Luck Win gradually faded after a prominent run wide and without cover from a tricky gate.
