Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Giant Ballon took luck out of the equation with an easy front running success from gate two. The win was overdue after earning minor cheques in five of his opening seven starts. Giant Leap stayed on nicely through the centre to finish a clear-cut second after a one-out, one-back run. He's trending the right way following a return to Class Four. Sensationally backed Enjoy Golf just held on for third settling box seat after pinging the start from gate one. He will be a force to reckon with if he finds his way into Class Five. Smashed late in betting Duke Of Orange was doing some nice work late to just miss a placing after straightening four deep following a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was his best run to date after going all right in his first three 1,200m runs across both tracks. Happy United just missed the frame after finding a one-off spot travelling midfield from gate 12. Top Throne was stopping 100m out after trying to stay with the leader from gate eight. Tactical Command made some ground late after making his run second last from gate 10.
