Horse No 1 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) H Bowman Bumped at the start.
Over the concluding stages made slight contact with ROMANTIC FANTASY when that runner shifted out under pressure.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 3 KASA PAPA (G312) C L Chau For some distance approaching the 1900 Metres raced tight to the inside of ROMANTIC FANTASY which lay in.
Horse No 4 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) A Badel Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages and made slight contact with JOYFUL PROSPERITY.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541) D B McMonagle D B McMonagle pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference approaching the first turn (see ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT).
Near the 550 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight between ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT and JOYFUL PROSPERITY which shifted in slightly when making a forward move.
D B McMonagle stated that from a wide barrier and in a race where there appeared to be a lack of pace he was instructed to go forward.
He added he could offer no explanation for the horse's failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
Horse No 6 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) M Chadwick M Chadwick stated that it was not his intention to settle as far forward as he did, however, he observed a position behind CONSPIRACY WITNESS in the early stages which he considered to be an advantageous position.
He added whilst his mount travelled well throughout the event, when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, SUPER HONG KONG raced "flat" and did not finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) A Atzeni Slow to begin.
Horse No 8 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) R Kingscote D B McMonagle (CONSPIRACY WITNESS) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the first turn he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT, resulting in that runner striking the heels of CONSPIRACY WITNESS, blundering badly and losing its running.
D B McMonagle was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at Sha Tin.
In addition, Jockey McMonagle was fined $55,000.
In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 3 and also considered his excellent race riding record.
Horse No 9 ALL ARE MINE (H293) K Teetan From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Raced keenly in the early stages.
Lay out on the Home Turn.
K Teetan stated that after settling back in the field he was satisfied with the horse's finishing effort as it was disadvantaged by the early and middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 GOLDEN FAIRY (E448) J Orman Bumped at the start.
J Orman stated that after leading the event his mount gave ground in the Home Straight and he could offer no explanation for its failure to finish the race off.

Horse No 11 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C Y Ho Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 MR ALADDIN (H386) Y L Chung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Punted late Joyful Prosperity took off from midfield 600m out to lead 400m out and fought back when headed by Romantic Fantasy 150m out for a fourth win from 36 starts. It was clearly his best performance from six starts this term. Romantic Fantasy was pipped late after getting his head in front 150m out following a prominent run on the fence. He's a winner waiting to happen with seconds in four consecutive starts following the removal of blinkers and tongue tie. Management Folks ran on nicely near the inside for third without threatening the quinella pair after a rails run from behind midfield. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. Kasa Papa stayed on well for fourth after a rails run from midfield. It was an improved effort at his second run. Rosewood Fleetfoot kept on for fifth after rolling forward to sit outside the leader Golden Fairy 1,500m out following a wide trip without cover from better than midfield. All Are Mine ran on from second last from gate 10 but was never a threat. Early favourite Perfect Pairing only plodded from behind midfield after a slow start.
