Recap by phillip woo

Northern Fire Ball went straight to the lead as expected and never looked back for a comfortable win. The move to a 10lb claimer proved crucial. Matzden stuck on well for second after a pace-stalking run from gate five. He was able to build on a closing fourth last start at his first run down in Class Four. Warriors Dream battled on well for third after a box-seat run. It was another honest performance over the Sha Tin 1,200m this term. Bright Day ran on steadily to just miss third-place prize money from behind midfield. He's crying out for his favourite 1,400m trip. Quartz Legend stayed on a distant fifth after making his run midfield on the fence after a slow start. Lightning Ace gradually faded after a prominent run. It was a better effort at his fourth start. Debutant Spirited Steed ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear.
