Race Six : (719) - STANDARD CHARTERED PRIORITY BANKING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 DIAMOND SPARKLE (L182) L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that his mount lay in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight but could offer no excuse for the horse's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 TOP TIME (K006) J Orman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 3 HAROLD WIN (J280) C L Chau Knuckled over on jumping.
For a short distance after the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 MONARCH COUNTY (J421) J Moreira Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ORIGIN OF FORM (K517) R Kingscote Near the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded by HAROLD WIN (C L Chau) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear.
C L Chau was severely reprimanded.
In assessing penalty the Stewards took into account that HAROLD WIN had been racing tight to the inside of FRANCIS MEYNELL prior to the incident occurring.
Lay in when placed under pressure in the early stages of the Home Straight.
Horse No 7 PRESIDENT PEGASUS (L241) J McDonald J McDonald stated that when his mount jumped well he elected to go forward.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 FRANCIS MEYNELL (J394) E Brown Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 LET'S HAVE FUN (L118) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Shortly after the start was eased to avoid PRESIDENT PEGASUS which shifted out.
Approaching the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid TIME TO FIRE.
Horse No 10 SUPER RUBICK KID (L259) H Bentley Bumped shortly after the start.
Raced keenly in the early stages.
For some distance near the 800 Metres got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover behind MONARCH COUNTY.
Horse No 11 ALABAMA SONG (K480) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 13 CHEERFUL WONGCHOY (L045) C Y Ho Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 14 VIEW ALL THINGS (K101) Z Purton Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid ORIGIN OF FORM.
Z Purton stated that his mount was disadvantaged by the early and middle stages being run outside of standard time and as a result found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
Horse No EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170) H Y Yuen Withdrawn on 23.5.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter DIAMOND SPARKLE.
Before being allowed to race again, EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Monarch County was wide travelling fifth but showed a good turn of foot near the outside to win going away 250m out for a third win from 17 starts. He was better rated on his return to the 1,400m of a closing second in January. Punted late Francis Meynell kept on gamely after working to the lead from gate five. He's close to a win with seconds in two of his past three starts. Let's Have Fun ran on nicely for third from behind midfield. He's trending towards a win. Harold Win just got the head down for fourth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He has honest form at this level. Firming late in betting, Matzden just failed to get up for fourth after a rails run from midfield.
