Tropical Storm Mawar

Tropical Storm Mawar is lingering over the northeastern South China Sea and expected to move slowly into eastern Guangdong province and the Pearl River Estuary, with the Hong Kong Observatory forecasting it will affect Hong Kong on Sunday, September 3.

Typhoon signal No 3 downgraded to No 1 as Mawar departs

The Hong Kong Observatory downgraded its typhoon warning signal from No 3 to No 1 on Monday morning as tropical storm Mawar gradually moved away and weakened, prompting a gradual return to business as usual in the city.
