Favourite Ensuring settled fifth from rear with cover one off the fence, swung the final bend with one wider out and ran down Dynamism100m out for a second straight win to complete an ultra-consistent campaign. Dynamism dashed to the front 200m out following a midfield run and found one too smart in the end. Premium Champion travelled behind midfield along the rails, straightened five deep and just wore down Red Dancer to add some spice to the exotics with a key rise in trip. He's a nice stayer for next term. Red Dancer enjoyed the box-seat run behind Savvy Nature, came one off upon straightening and lost a placing late in a pleasing performance despite a step up in distance. Lucky Omens bided his time underneath Ensuring, rounded the final bend five deep, angled further out at the 200m and ran on steadily to just miss a Quartet spot. Savvy Nature cornered a length on top and was stopping 150m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (756)-CHEUNG SHEUNG HANDICAP - Class 2 - 2000Metres

From wide barriers, TAKE TO THE LIMIT, WAYFOONG EXPRESS and ROMANTIC TOUCH were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the 1700 Metres, SUNNY YING was awkwardly placed close to the heels of RED DANCER after momentarily racing tight inside BUBBLE CHIC.

At the entrance to the Straight, RED DANCER and BUBBLE CHIC raced tight as RED DANCER improved into tight running between BUBBLE CHIC and SAVVY NATURE.

At the 200 Metres, BUBBLE CHIC became unbalanced when bumped by RED DANCER which got its head on the side and shifted out.

In the Straight, LUCKY OMENS hung in under pressure.

SUNNY YING also lay in under pressure in the Straight.

After the race, G Mosse (TAKE TO THE LIMIT) reported that his mount faltered near the 400 Metres and because the horse's action did not feel comfortable after this, he was reluctant to place it under full pressure.

He said after the race TAKE TO THE LIMIT returned to the unsaddling area short in its action.

A veterinary inspection of TAKE TO THE LIMIT immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, TAKE TO THE LIMIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of SUNNY YING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ENSURING and DYNAMISM were sent for sampling.
