Punted late Kingsfield was nicely rated after clearing to lead from a wide gate to hold off favourite Regency Bo Bo for a second straight win. Mathew Poon Ming-fai's 10 pound allowance was gold. Regency Bo Bo kept on gamely after punching the breeze to finish a clear-cut second. He's a model of consistency and will be winning one shortly in this grade. There was a wall of horses battling it out for the next few spots. Sensationallybacked, Green Energy finished well to snatch third despite being strung up in traffic following a midfield run until the last 150m. He's caught the eye in both starts and will be winning shortly. First Fontein came on strongly two from the right after travelling second from the rear to miss third by a bob of the heads. He's naturally coming to hand in his four starts and might be crying out for an extra 200m. Winwin Ruby closed well after travelling fourth from the rear. He's hit the line well in his past two of three outings and isn't far off a winning run. Pretty Bauhinia was another to make a good bid late after switching back from a wide gate. Like Winwin Ruby, he's been doing some nice work late in his past two of three starts and it's only a matter of time before he pops up.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (613)-AUDEMARS PIGUET LADY MILLENARY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

After being placed in the barriers, INTREPIC became fractious, reared and momentarily got its left front leg over the barrier partition.

INTREPIC was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said when INTREPIC reared, the horse did not struggle and accordingly was suitable to race.

Before being allowed to race again, INTREPIC will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

WINWIN RUBY, which was in the barrier adjacent to the stall occupied by INTREPIC, was also removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

IMPERIAL GALLANTRY shifted out at the start and bumped HAIR TRIGGER.

ROYAL ELITE began only fairly.

MARVEL TRIBE shifted out at the start and bumped INTREPIC.

Shortly after the start, GREEN ENERGY and JOLLY CONVERGENCE bumped.

WINWIN RUBY and FIRST FONTEIN were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, VOLITATION was steadied away from the heels of MARVEL TRIBE (Apprentice K K Chiong) which shifted in when not quite clear.

MARVEL TRIBE continued to shift in, resulting in JOLLY CONVERGENCE being momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse passing the 1200 Metres.

Apprentice Chiong was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that she is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.

GREEN ENERGY had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 350 Metres was shifted back in across the heels of NONE OTHER after being disappointed for running between that horse and JOLLY CONVERGENCE.

ROYAL ELITE, which was following GREEN ENERGY, was shifted in away from that horse in consequence.

Near the 150 Metres, GREEN ENERGY improved into tight running between NONE OTHER and MARVEL TRIBE.

Near the 50 Metres, JOLLY CONVERGENCE, which was giving ground, was bumped by WINWIN RUBY which shifted out away from GREEN ENERGY.

Over the concluding stage, GREEN ENERGY and WINWIN RUBY raced tight.

Throughout the race, NONE OTHER travelled wide and without cover.

MARVEL TRIBE lost its left front plate after the race.

A veterinary inspection of JOLLY CONVERGENCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

KINGSFIELD and REGENCY BO BO were sent for sampling.
